I believe meeting people where they are is the most critical aspect of helping someone help themselves. I hold space for people to explore their needs and wants to affect desired change through therapeutic relationships that focus on person-centered and strength-based approaches. I can help you explore self-awareness by acknowledging and accepting past and present experiences impacting your emotional, mental, and physical well-being. I support adults and teens in addressing issues that affect their lives, focusing on self-empowerment and interpersonal relationships.
Experience: I have a bachelor’s in social work from Southern Illinois University and 20 years of experience in advocacy, peer counseling, support group counseling, and crisis intervention with teens and adults. I am a student at the University of Reno, receiving my master’s in social work.

Empowerment is the basis of change that leads to self-advocacy. Therapy is a tool that helps us understand ourselves and others to live our best lives. It is about being deeply connected with our lived experiences in a mindful, compassionate, and empathic way to gain awareness of our choices.
